The Multitest MO1235N Optical Reflectometer is a compact device that combines five functions for universal use in various types of data transmission networks, including fiber-optic and copper networks based on twisted pair cables.
This device provides accurate measurement of optical lines at wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1550 nm with dynamic measurement ranges of 26 dB and 24 dB, respectively. The Optical Power Meter (OPM) is calibrated at different wavelengths from 850 nm to 1650 nm, ensuring measurement accuracy over a wide range. With a wide measurement range of -50...+26 dBm, this reflectometer can be used even with the most powerful optical signals, such as those in optical cable networks. If needed, the device can be calibrated to ensure measurement accuracy.
The device features a built-in light source at wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1550 nm, as well as an additional visible light source with red light (VFL) for convenient detection of visual defects along the line, measurement of attenuation, and signal level. The reflectometer allows users to easily measure optical lines up to 60 km and save the results for further analysis to internal memory or a microSD card. Optionally, the device can display the optical line as schematic icons (Event Map) based on measured events.
The device has a bright color LCD display with a diagonal of 3.5 inches, allowing convenient examination of measurement results and providing the ability to examine details of the reflectogram more thoroughly. The compact device has a housing protected from moisture, dust, and ultraviolet rays. The 4000 mAh lithium-ion battery (Li-ion) provides autonomous operation of the device for up to 12 hours in measurement mode without additional recharging and over 20 hours in standby mode.
