Optical Power Meter for PON Networks Multitest MT3217 SC/UPC, 1310/1490/1550 nm
The Multitest MT3217 PON Network Tester is a lightweight and convenient device for measuring signal power in passive optical networks. The tester can simultaneously measure signals at three different wavelengths: 1310, 1490, and 1550 nm.
The measurement results are displayed on a color LCD display and allow selecting measurement units in dBm or dB. The tester is equipped with a Fail/Pass mode that helps assess whether the signal level meets the network's operational standards and warns of excessively high or low signal levels. Measurement results are compared with set operational, alarm, and pre-alarm thresholds, which can be configured separately for each wavelength.
The tester is compatible with APON, BPON, EPON, and GPON networks, allowing measurements of optical signals in all these types of passive networks. With the built-in fiber identifier (red light), the device helps quickly identify specific fibers in the optical network, greatly simplifying troubleshooting and significantly speeding up repair work.
The tester is powered by 3 AA batteries, and it is equipped with a 5-volt charger and a power adapter for a 220 V network. Additionally, the device can store measurement results in its memory and transfer them to a computer via the USB port.
