Compensation Coil KFLC-3 is used to measure losses and reflections in both near-end and far-end connections of optical fiber cables using an Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). The coil utilizes light scattering principles to measure fiber optic losses and light defects, effectively eliminating the "dead zone" during reflectometer measurements and improving testing accuracy.

Komshine Normalizing Coil features a compact design that makes it convenient for transport and easy to use. It is compatible with various connector types and includes a special compartment for storing couplers (adapters). The cable is suitable for use with any reflectometer, and its metal jacket protects it from rodent interference.

Main functions of the launch cable:

• Launch cable: connects between the OTDR and the tested fiber optic connection to measure losses at the near-end.
• Receive cable: connects the cable to the far-end connector of the fiber optic network to measure losses at the far-end.
• Transitional cable: connects as both the launch and receive cable to measure total insertion losses of the fiber optic connection.
