Twisted pair

Twisted Pair Cable - a type of cable construction consisting of two insulated conductors twisted together in parallel. This design is widely used for signal transmission in computer networks, telephone systems, audio, video systems, and high-speed Internet connections.

NanoConnect offers a variety of twisted pair cable types, including Category 5e, 6, and 6a.

Cable Categories:

  • Category 5e (Cat5e): These cables have four pairs of conductors twisted together. Typically made of copper conductors with a diameter of 24-26 AWG, they support data transmission speeds up to 1 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters. They are used for connecting computers to networks, telephone systems, and video surveillance.
  • Category 6 (Cat6): Also featuring four pairs of copper conductors, Cat6 cables have better shielding and thicker copper conductors. They support data transmission speeds up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters and are widely used in offices, home networks, and buildings for gigabit networks and high-speed networks.
  • Category 6a (Cat6a): These cables have the same basic characteristics as Cat6 but with improved shielding and thicker copper conductors. They support data transmission speeds up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters, with lower signal loss and better resistance to interference. They are ideal for high-bandwidth networks, including gigabit Ethernet, high-resolution video, and streaming video.

Types of Cable Shielding:

  • UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair): This type of cable has no external shielding and uses twisted pairs of conductors to protect the signal. It is the most common type of cable used in many home and office networks.
  • FTP (Foiled Twisted Pair): FTP cables have aluminum foil wrapped around all twisted pairs of conductors to protect against external electromagnetic interference. They are used in networks with a high level of electromagnetic interference or where increased protection is required.
  • STP (Shielded Twisted Pair): STP cables have a separate shield for each twisted pair, which complements the internal shielding to protect against electromagnetic interference. This type of cable provides a high level of protection and is often used in demanding environments with electromagnetic interference, such as industrial settings.

With NanoConnect's commitment to top-tier materials and cutting-edge technology, our twisted pair cables deliver reliable and swift data transfer, meeting the demands of diverse networking environments. Whether for office setups, home networks, or industrial applications, our cables ensure seamless connectivity, making NanoConnect the premier solution for all your networking requirements.
