An optical pigtail SC/APC is a short optical fiber cable segment that has an SC connector at one end of the segment and APC polishing, which ensures minimal losses and reflections. SC-type connectors are widely used in optical networks and telecommunications systems, including at end-user points, network equipment, data centers, optical trunks, passive optical networks (PONs), and transmission lines to provide reliable and efficient connections.

The primary purpose of an optical pigtail is to terminate optical cables when connecting or replacing telecommunications equipment. The free end is connected to a corresponding cable either through fusion splicing or by using an optical coupler.

Pigtails are available in standard lengths of 1.5 meters or can be customized to any length through our NanoConnect store. This allows for flexible design and installation of optical networks according to the customer's needs.
