An optical pigtail LC/UPC is a short optical fiber cable segment that has an LC connector at one end of the segment and UPC polishing, ensuring minimal losses and reflections. LC-type connectors are widely used in computer networks, data centers, telecommunications systems, and any place where compactness and high bandwidth in optical connections are crucial. Their small form factor and high-quality connections make them ideal for use in modern high-speed networks and data transmission systems.

The primary purpose of an optical pigtail is to terminate optical cables when connecting or replacing telecommunications equipment. The free end is connected to a corresponding cable either through fusion splicing or by using an optical coupler.

Pigtails are available in standard lengths of 1.5 meters or can be customized to any length through our NanoConnect store. This allows for flexible design and installation of optical networks according to the customer's needs.

30-meter simplex indoor optical patch cord with SC/UPC connectors on both ends, made of Ukrainian-produced G.657.A2 single-mode fiber with a diameter of 0.9mm. The patch cord is manufactured using high-quality materials ensuring low attenuation and minimal signal loss, thus enhancing network performance. Featuring Flex type single-mode fiber, the patch cord has a smaller bending radius compared to standard G.652.D fiber, making it more convenient and flexible to install during network deployment. This is particularly important for FTTx network construction, where numerous directional changes and limited cabinet sizes need to be considered. Patch cords are primarily used in customer cable entrances such as subscriber outlets and final distribution points. The specially transparent cable jacket allows inconspicuous use in interior settings. With a diameter of 0.9mm, the patch cord can be easily installed in narrow grooves, trenches, or dedicated communication openings. The cable supports data transmission at a maximum transfer rate of up to 10 Gbps at wavelengths of 1310nm or 1550nm, making it ideal for indoor or inter-building network deployments.
